
I like that CMiC Platform serves as our primary system for Financial and Project Management, providing a single source of truth for our business which supports continuity amongst other platforms. I appreciate the flexibility and customization capabilities, which allow us to tailor the system to our needs as the business grows and evolves. The ability to add user-defined fields and tables is also a favorite feature because it lets us capture data unique to our business, driving tailored workflows and notifications. Overall the system works well, but the Project Management and Project Controls portions are spread across two, sometimes three different versions. These versions are not always functionally aligned as CMiC transitions between platforms, often changing direction mid-development to move to a different system. There needs to be a coordinated effort to complete these transitions and consolidate functionality onto a single platform. Implementation was not easy and required a significant investment of time, effort, and resources, both financially beyond the system cost and in terms of time.
